There is no doubt, substance use, abuse and dependency play a huge part in our caseloads. Whether you represent someone charged with drug possession and/or distribution, or your client is being revoked off probation due to continued drug use, or your client is at risk of losing his/her children due to substance use, this training will help you overcome many of the barriers to effective and holistic representation.

The Office of Respondent Parents’ Counsel and the Office of Colorado Alternative Defense Counsel are co-sponsoring this event because so many of our clients overlap. These clients can often face co-existing and/or collateral consequences related to criminal charges and the loss of parental rights because of substance use, abuse or dependency.

Join ORPC and OADC for a full day training on topics such as toxicology, confidential informants, motions practice, protective capacity and visitation, breastfeeding and marijuana use, sentencing and relapse.
